Document summary

The energy efficiency industry encompasses both product suppliers and enterprise building integrators. Volatility and high energy prices with tightening emission regulations are expanding market opportunities for companies. In the US buildings consume 40% of the country’s power but building automation tools can control/lower nearly two-thirds of energy use. Continuous energy efficient controls potentially provide 5% -20% in annual energy savings. The energy efficiency market opportunity could equate to $520bn of investments, translated into $1.2trn of gross energy savings and a 23% reduction in annual energy consumption by 2020.
