In contrast with ailing international climate change talks, twelve national or regional carbon pricing schemes are set to emerge by 2015-16, including in key economic areas such as China. With a large proportion of their carbon emissions in Australia and South Africa, this report points out that global mining companies are particularly at risk of CO2 costs.
