for primary (heating and cooling) and secondary (electricity for appliances) energy led to
27% of global CO2 emissions in 2012.
This report illustrates how retrofitting the existing building stock and greening new build
can achieve substantial reductions in CO2. We expect regulation, profitability and
technology to be drivers, green bonds can provide the finance.
