The world is undergoing major transformations. The era of globalization has provided a major boost to global growth, and lifted hundreds of millions of people out of poverty. Yet today, integration and cooperation between countries and people around the world is slowing, or even reversing. Against this backdrop, it is easy to be pessimistic – even alarmist – about the world‘s economic prospects. However imperfectly, the outlook will, we believe, nonetheless continue to improve.
