In an increasingly environmentally and financially unstable world it has never been more important to bridge the gap between those working in the field of financial services and those in environmental research, and to foster a mutually beneficial knowledge exchange relationship between these two vital sectors. This report presents preliminary results following a workshop with the financial services sector and the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH) to scope the current andfuture landscape of water-related investments and data as a means of managing and using water sustainably. This research will culminate in a final report that will be released in October 2010.
