Biodiversity forms the foundation of the vast array of ecosystem services, such as flood protection, waste decomposition and food production that support human well-being and economic systems. However, financial systems are failing to protect ecosystem services.
This report examines the root cause of this failure, determines what actions are currently underway to remediate this, examines their efficacy and lays out a plan of action which will put biodiversity at the heart of financial systems.
